We were discussing iron works (as you do!) on Usky's blog and I mentioned Tondu where they have an info centre and had a recent metal pouring for first time in hundred years.

For Usky - smelting in Tondu
Mood change!
Regular readers will note I'm good at the blessing-counting. I never got to postbox, but felt good about work done had pleasant afternoon and evening. I've been doing picture logic puzzles and started a Minette Walters novel. My living room was lovely and warm from sun and I decided on a proper evening meal - I rarely use actual oven unless roasting chicken or joint, but did myself a pork chop with onion, mushroom and tarragon foil-cooked and served with new potatoes, carrots and cauli. it's really nice but never cooked it for just myself before - thoroughly enjoyed it and timed to eat while listening to The Archers!
Recipe was from 'Supercook' a seventies 'partwork' I collected when young, foolish and engaged...![]()
Still not heard from my lover since hasty email yesterday, but feeling happier with life.
Was going to have lunch with my old flat-mate and she'd also invited a mutual male friend who always had hots for her - Apparently safety in numbers as she's a respectably married woman. I was amused enough to agree to be gooseberry, but she's now cancelled due to funeral and he and I are going ahead. Last time we met was at a funeral and I flirted outrageously, so should be entertaining and pleasant distraction in absence of my lover...
Greetings from Incommunicado...
or is that a paradox or something akin?
I always though 'Communicado' sounded such an interesting and exotic place - Ho, humm...
Not sure if he's having problems with his dongle[make up your own double entendre], signal or new laptop but he's only managed brief emails and last one said he could only get signal from his wife's bedroom - too weird for me...
While I do not kid myself and admit that I am aiding and abetting his infidelity (sexual and emotional) to her, sending me messages from her bedroom feels very odd.
Not sure what to do with myself today, but as was in mood to work I did so. I have build up of time in lieu hours to take in this particular paRT-TIME JOB, BUT MADE SENSE TO DO STUFF WHILE IN MOOD. i WILL BE VERY LAZY AND SELF-INDULGENT NEXT WEEK. (Whoops! Wasn't shouting, but accidently on cap lock and too lazy to retype...)
It's a bit blowy, but actually quite bright in Cardiff today, so I think I should get out of house if only to walk to post box and post stuff I've been working on today.
Always restless and a bit moody (for me) when he's away and the lack of emails that was going to make such a difference hasn't helped. Still - I've made my bed and so far willing to lie on it.
Oh, oh!
I'm now getting ads for dates and relationships in Cardiff!
Separation
He's now on holiday for two weeks. He has new laptop with some sort of contract for 'roving' internet connection' thingie, so I will be getting regular emails during absence.
I guess what is most 'dangerous' for relationship is the more I'm alone the more used to it, I get...
Update...
On the day his Dad was in hospital he lost Internet connection! He was having frantic time with practicalities and then no broadband! Having convinced myself of worst and preparing for him not coming to see me, I've now seen him twice.
We've now been seeing each other for five years!
We've had a couple of days paying at tourist stuff. I took him into Cardiff centre and hadn't realised just how much I love and is worth seeing until I tried to show him! Arcades, the baccy shop, 'Chip Alley', architecture, Hayes Island, market, the graveyard 'park', Wally's deli, the Old Library...
We also went to little nature reserve I'd worked near but only heard of recently:

We've had quiet time as well, but when one as a 'headful' it's nice to do stuff sometimes.
Meanwhile his Dad is recovering nicely (we hope) and he's still dealing with all sorts of practicalities and going on holiday soon...
Disadvantages of being a Mistress No. 73...
His Dad's been ill and went into hospital yesterday. He said he'd not get chance to email until this evening and there is silence. Could be things are incredibly busy and would seem heartless or inappropriate or difficult to slope off to computer. Or could be computer problem. Or his Dad could be seriously ill or worse. So difficult when incommunicado...
