I'm off on a course for a week and don't think I'll have access to internet so as well as not blogging I won't be emailing my lover as well as not seeing him for over a week

He's offered to clean my house in my absence as a 'Welcome home' which I think is lovely. Someone once left a comment on my blog saying that a as a lover he (the commenter) doesn't do housework. That's fair enough and torrid sex is fabulous, but I find all sorts of thoughtfulnesses and ordinary stuff so very meaningful. Perhaps there ought to be an alternative name for mistresses who like domestic stuff as well as passion. And no - the mundane does not kill the passion, just sweetens it

I've just had explicit porn ad on my blog!!!! WTF?!
I do not expect to see penises and vaginas here! What is going on?!

Saw my lover today. He fixed car seat covers for me and I made him lunch. He fed the birds. We gossiped and drank tea and went to bed for a while. Not much like 'Mistresses' on the box. And no expensive weekends in Paris or visits to posh hotels - And I'd not have it any other way, other than I'd rather not have dishonesty. Otherwise, despite lack of enough time together, life is sweet.

I seem to be getting silly ads for pseudo-sexy young women looking to get off with unknown men (yeah, right...) or gay male equivalent. I realise that ads pay for my 'free' blog, but would be nice if there were standards about these things...

Watched first part of new drama and enjoyed it in soapy way. Disappointed that there was nothing about me in DM
Wonder if they just had more interesting stuff and like the dead donkey I was dropped...

I got interviewed for the Mirror feature. It was very interesting experience. Like blogging and some of the dialogues I've had with fellow-bloggers, it encouraged thought and introspection. It's always useful to rethink one's position and examine one's views I think. Wonder how it will turn out. After I've read piece, I'll decide whether to let friends outside Blogland about it.

I've now been subject of a photo shoot! Very discreet as my anonymity is being protected.

Had a lovely afternoon with my lover. First time we've met in a week and we both were full of aches and pains! His helping me out of my jumper was courtesy and sympathy rather than unbridled passion!

We went to our favourite greasy spoon for bacon, egg and chips - La Dolce Vita has nothing on Canton caffs! And he was charming about a trip to Tesco's and filling up my car screenwash - Who says romance is dead?

The few hours in bed were lovely, but - as said before - somehow it is the ordinary stuff that we miss when we're apart...

I've had communication with the Daily Mirror re real life mistresses to fit in with a new TV drama called 'Mistresses'. I'm quite excited at thought of a piece on real mistresses.
I am aware that the world, his wife, mistress and concubine plus menagerie now blog so assumed there were loads of us blogging mistresses out there. Out of curiosity I googled mistress and blog and found a load of interesting dominatrices, so we're a bit hard to find... Reminded me of time I was looking for pics for blog and had similar problem. Mistress is such an ambiguous term - posessor or possessed?

Does it sum up my life? Possibly...

I'm not into resolutions as such, but thought a 'Start as you mean to go on' sort of day would be a good idea. My ex's Mum saw the 1st of the month as a precursor of month ahead and Jan 1st as indicative of coming year. While I don't see that one's luck for year is necessarily foretold by games of patience, a positive start to year seemed psychologically sound.

I started off with bath and nice, newly changed bedding to see in the year - I love smell of fresh sheets. I guess as a teetotaller who went to bed soon after midnight, but awoke with a headache I did not have the best of starts!Still, some paracetamol and water soon put paid to it and I was feeling quite positive.

I decided that I am far too sedentary, so a stroll around the block would be a good idea. I've hardly been out since Xmas and a New Year's Day walk seemed just the thing. It was. Until for no reason whatsoever I went flying! Didn't trip over anything or slip - just found myself heading for the ground! And of course this at the only point where I encountered anyone else - a couple with two children also out for stroll by the looks of it. So I'm splattered on ground with audience - Great! No damage other than aches and feeling like an idiot.

I recommend NHS Direct, where I chatted with nice nurse and got advice re medication and rest for a painful arm.

On a more positive note I've done a few business things including raising two invoices, so hopefully people will send me money soon!

I've now done a bit of creative writing - sharing my mixed fortunes with you in cyber - and later am seeing friend for meal so shall have nice mix of solitude and social which is typical and suits me.
