Pathetic Fallacy

by pollygarter @ Monday, Jun. 18, 2007 - 20:18:13

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pathetic_fallacy

The day has dawned drizzly and dreary here. There is a mild sogginess draping the mountain and the little birds are whistling damp songs across the slippery rooftops. Distant traffic skims wet roads while here in the garret I can see forty shades of grey.
Neighbours gossip over the garden wall and Asda calls, anon.
I can see that I'll be having a day inside my head while the daily triv unwinds.

I suspected (quite rightly!) my lover was missing me! I found his description rather poetic.

And today we had time together and thanks to a cancellation of a meeting will have chance to see each other tomorrow. Today was day of doing practical stuff, as tomorrow will be, but just lovely to be together. I'm also seeing him Wednesday, and Friday is our 'date' day!:>>
And guess what? After a rather grey start the sun came out today!

Here has been crap as ever weatherwise. Day after Day. We havent had one warm day this summer. Today its grey misty foggy. Its not raining as such but everything is wet with the mist.

I know quite a few places in England have been hit with flooding.

We've had a fair amount of rain. We were dozing together this afternoon and it poured down, but it seemed rather cosy at the time. Roads between here and Swansea were pretty bad though.
I worked last night and for the Solstice it was bloody freezing!

This is a lovely, feeling and gentle post. Plenty of nice thoughts wafting around and a delightful togetherness to share with us as well. I am gently and happily smiling as I am reading and typing my reply to these sweet thoughts. Salut!

What a lovely thing to say! So nice to have conveyed some of my mixed feelings effectively. Thank you for the feedback.

You're more than welcome - it feels really good to be included in the warmth.
