My house is a mess and my garden needs some proper attention. I've been meaning to do something about both for a while, but not done anything. This evening I went out for pint of milk and realised it was still a lovely day and had mad impulse to do something in the garden. I wasn't in the mood for proper weeding, dead heading or livening so I chose guerilla gardening instead.
I hate the way that stuff which grows over the path to my door soaks me in the rain. And a flowering bush by my door has similar irritant properties, so I decided on a hack back. I took the hedge trimmer to the bush which was extremely satisfying. And as the Fatsia, ferns and fuchsias trembled they got a haircut with the secateurs.
I now have a satisfyingly full green bin. And I may get round to some proper gardening and housework one of these days...
