He's back!

I shall be seeing him tomorrow and alone wih him on Friday
Separation
No email yesterday.
It was only day this was likely to happen, but still made me restless in the absence. I shall see him again tomorrow, though and see him all alone on Friday.
Warning: Contains sex-stereotyping and cliches but made me smile....
Dear Tech Support:
Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in the overall performance, particularly in the Flower and jewellery applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.
In addition, Husband 1.0 un-installed many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5 and then installed undesirable programs such as: Football 5.0, Rugby 4.3 and Cricket 3.0.
Conversation 8.0 no longer runs; it simply crashes the system. I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, to no avail.
What can I do?
Signed,
Desperate
Dear Desperate:
First keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an Operating System. Try entering the command:
C:/I-THOUGHT-YOU-LOVED-ME to download Tears 6.2, which should automatically install Guilt 3.0. If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewellery 2.0 and Flowers 3.5. But remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0, or Beer 6.1.
WARNING: Beer 6.1 is a very nasty program that will create Snoring Loudly.
CAUTION: Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-law. This is not a supported application and will crash Husband 1.0.
In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. I personally recommend Hot Food 3.0 and Lingerie 7.7.
Good Luck,Tech Support
Dear Technical Support,
18 months ago, I upgraded to Girlfriend 1.0 from DrinkingMates 4.2, which I had used for years without any trouble. However, there are apparently conflicts between these two products and the only solution
was to try and run Girlfriend 1.0 with the sound turned off.
To make matters worse, Girlfriend 1.0 is incompatible with several other applications, such as LadsNightOut 3.1, Football 4.5, and Playboy 6.9. Successive versions of GirlFriend proved no better.
I tried a shareware program, Slapper 2.1, but it had many bugs and left a virus in my system, forcing me to shut down completely for several weeks. Eventually, I tried to run GirlFriend 1.2 and
Girlfriend 1.0 at the same time, only to discover that when these two systems detected each other they caused severe damage to my hardware.
I eventually upgraded to Fiancée 1.0, only to discover that this product soon had to be upgraded further to Wife 1.0. While Wife 1.0 tends to use up all my available resources, it does come bundled with
FreeSxPlus and Cleanhouse2005.
Shortly after this upgrade, however, I found that Wife 1.0 could be very unstable and costly to run. Any mistakes I made were automatically stored in Wife 1.0's memory and could not be deleted.
They then resurfaced months later when I had forgotten about them.
Wife 1.0 also has an automatic Diary, Explorer and E-mail filter, and can, without warning, launch TurboStrop and Multi-Whinge. These latter products have no Help files, and I have to try to guess what the problem is.
Additional problems are that Wife 1.0 needs updating regularly, requiring ShoeShop Browser for new attachments and Hairstyle Express which needs to be reinstalled every other week. Also, when Wife 1.0 attaches itself to my Saab 93 Convertible hard drive, it often crashes.
Wife 1.0 also comes with an irritating pop-up called MotherInLaw, which can't be turned off.
Recently I've been tempted to install Mistress 2005, but there could be problems.
A friend of mine has alerted me to the fact that if Wife 1.0 detects Mistress 2005, it tends to delete all of your Money before uninstalling itself.
Sometimes I just miss him...
Nice pics for timsuzi/Harry and Hilda Gee/Gareth Morlais
Hi timsuzi,
The following is link to pics by Harry and Hilda Gee that I think you may like.
http://aberth.com/
Apparently 'aberth' is Welsh for sacrifice. the stuff on Ceffyl Pren (Wooden Horse) is also wonderful slice of Welsh rock history!
It was a Woodpecker!
My mystery bird of this morning was a woodpecker - Spotted in Cyncoed, Cardiff. it was 'hammering' into grass, but I did a quick google and spotted the bird I saw. Quite exciting as I've not seen one before. I've noticed an awful lot of magpies around though.
Trivia/Sunny morning in Cardiff...
...and like Zebedee I must announce'Time for bed'! It's a strange start to the Bank Holiday, but I'm just back from nightshift. cardiff is sunny and I saw an amazing bird this morning - must try and find out what it was. Any ornithologists out there? The roads were wonderfully quiet with no school or work traffic.
Missing my lover,
although I don't see him over weekends. He sometimes visits on Monday and if I've been working will bring me a cuppa and even do some housework for me
On Being Apart...
I had a couple of lovely days with my lover at the beginning of the week, but not seeing him until Thursday now.
Got home today to a lovely 'Missing You' card! Made me both sad and happy...
We're exchanging emails and sent texts when in the Cyber part of the chilly land of Incommunicado - Not quite as nasty as Deepest Incommunicado where even texts cannot survive and/or penetrate
.
Communication is very important when circumstances dictate limited contact. Still have email contact at the moment and he's already sussing out cyber cafes for when he's away...
I miss him.
Mistresses...
Hey, I loved the Dracula reference, as well as the nod to Bowie's 1976 MWFTE film -- I think that film is sexy as hell! I wonder, could you list your top ten mistresses in fiction/film/TV etc.? I'd have the woman played by Penelope Craig in BBC's 'Butterflies' in the top five, for starters ...
Hope all is well with you and your beloved. Belaqua is coming to stay tomorrow for the Bank Holiday weekend: bliss!lasttape
All is well with my beloved and myself except we will be apart for a week.
I’ve just been away for a few days and he’s about to go and stay with his daughter….
I hope you and Belaqua have a lovely time together.
And as for the challenge – Quite a difficult one…![]()
In no particular order:
1) Mme Butterfly for pathos, but I want to shake her as well…
2) Posy Simmonds did a rather funny version of Mme Bovary that appealed more than original – Gemma Bovary

3) I don’t remember a mistress in ‘Butterflies’ –But you made me think of Felicity Kendal in ‘The Mistress’ and I’d put her in top ten, but seem to remember she had a tough time...
4) Betty Boop – If she’s not a mistress she ought to be!![]()

5) For sheer scariness – The therapist in Fay Weldon’s ‘Affliction’
6) I seem to remember Rona Jaffe’s ‘The Other Woman’ as a bit of a timepiece – may have to revisit, though…
7) I enjoyed Joanna Trollope’s ‘Marrying the Mistress’ (but not as much as ‘Other People’s Children’) and thought the mistress was very positively drawn.
8) Nell Gwynne is one of the more positive role models I guess – although real, the image is so hackneyed she’s almost fictional... At least there was something fun about her.

9) Very sentimental, but I am embarrassed to admit I quite liked Signora from Maeve Binchy’s ‘Evening Class’
10) And of course Glenda Jackson was very classy in ‘A Touch of Class’

Film sex....
Now that I have your attention I wish to discuss - film sex! Lasttape reminded me that as well as having found 'The Man Who Fell to Earth' sexy, I also found the Bowie film about vampires erotic as well. The film was absurd, but the sex was quite....stirring
I seem to remember...
I was particularly impressed by the shower scene which brings me to an appalling anecdote.
I've always thought shower sex sounds erotic, but I'm such a wuss that I hate water running down my face.
One of my male friends in my youth said he'd 'done it'. I explained my aversion and he said it wasn't a problem because they turned the shower off!
Not exactly how I remember the film....
Lasttape has challenged me to think of a list of mistresses - may take a while...

Apparently I have to think of ten fictional characters worthy of carnality...Hmmm...
1. Dracula - very erotic overtones to all those night visits and neck-baring...
2. The Man Who Fell to Earth as played by Bowie
3. Frank.N.Furter as played by Curry
4. Any hero of Mary Wesley's books
5. The lovely carpentry teacher in the Beiderbecke novels
6. Benedict if I can be Beatrice ![]()
7. A Rock Hudson type of hero for my Doris Day moments ![]()
...Gosh, this is hard...
8. Swann from the film 'Swann In Love' Not read book in English, let alone French!
9. Ummm...One of Jilly Cooper's heroes in the silly but fun short novels she used to write - Somehow the dark, intense Welsh one springs to mind...
![]()
10 Cyrano De Bergerac
Phew!
Not sure how to tag...But I'll try timsuzi, menhir, Doris T, roza-f and ianthorpe...
Just had a lovely day with my Lover...
...and just thought I'd say so.:D
A day of lolling around - We call them 'Peaceful and easy' days as per Eagles song. we talked about Neandethal civilisation, Malteses temples, books, garden, weather, practical uses for vinegar and baking powder, television and work needing doing on my house. I'd planned a really nice dinner (sort of cottagepie thing based on a quick coq au vin-type base) but apathy took over and chipshop too much effort so we had fabulous bacon sandwiches.
We're planing a visit to the Folk Museum, next.
We still love the classic activities of a mistress and lover,
but it's the other stuff that make us so much the fabric of each other's lives.
Wheelie bins (3)
Well, last week the binmen didn't empty my bin
- I assume because it was full of grass. When I paid someone to cut my grass and take away the clippings I didn't expect to have the grass dumped in my shiny new black bin.
Luckily my lover is a very nice man and once my green bin had been emptied of the buddlia cuttings there was room for the grass and we transferred them into the appropriate container - As you can appreciate, being a mistress is all champagne, assignations, passion, heaving bosoms and fancy lingerie...![]()
Once again it is bin night and I am in accord with my neighbours - its green bags as well as black bins. I've filled my green bag with my recyclables and put it out with bin, but this time looking far classier
I'd actually been out for a drink at our Arts' Centre, so was still properly dressed - very nice brown velvet skirt and toning camisole with a knitted jacket/posh cardi(!) I was also wearing my fabulous bronze high-heeled boots so felt quite glamourous for a woman who had just been sorting her paper and plastic from various bins around the house...
My friend at the Beeb...
A while ago a certain someone at the BBC said he checks tags connected with his line of work, so I put in a tempting tag a while ago. I saw him for the first time in ages and we discussed blogging, and he'd not come across a blog he'd identified as mine.
I saw him this week and he'd sussed me out. Coincidentally, I'd recently written about him as the host who nearly fell out of his chair!
I'd just like to say the hospitality I received from G &G was second to none and I had a fabulous time at their Murder Mystery party. I also spotted the murderer so was very smug as well as somewhat OTT in my heels and makeup!
I'm really not a foot fetishist, but...
...does anyone remember real popsox?
I had lovely day with my Lover and wore white stockings, which I rarely wear - Just went with flirty skirt and cute pink and white pseudo-gingham stilettoes. The sheen reminded me of the original pop sox circa 1967(ish) They were quite thick opaque nylon with a sheen and a band at top as built in garter/holdup. Nowadays the sort of pretend tights/stocking women wear under trousers or long skirts are called pop sox, but they're not really...
Today was seriously hot in Cardiff, and had a nice time sitting in garden for part of the day. last night we had the most fabulously dramatic storm.
Topless...
...sandals!
Topless sandals - also called "down unders" - simulate walking barefoot while protecting your feet. Topless sandals stick to the bottom of your feet, but leave no residue on your feet when you take them off. The "stick" is guaranteed for a year, which is the typical life span of a flip flop. Topless sandals are basically topless flip flops, but so much cooler. You'll be amazed at how many heads you turn while wearing your topless sandals. People will literally think you are barefoot and so will your feet. Available in a variety sizes, design and colors. Prices start from $ 14.50 at Topless-sandal.com.

I rather like idea. I don't like toe posts and find flipflops too floppy, but like pretty, minimalist sandals when not needing the sensible ones.
Sensible sandals, topless sandals and breakdown...
...of the technical kind - I was in middle of witty piece (and I never tell lies!
)about my sandals and even found some pics to illustrate and it all went pear-shaped![]()
Somehow a pic of sandals not dissimilar to mine are now in my 'Media' section, if you are bothered enough to check out, then please do. Mine are red, and I also have a blue pair. They've survived wading the Indian Ocean (What a poser!
) and endless holiday walks and strolls.
I also found a pic of 'topless sandals'! See Media for pic. I'd love to try a pair, if they really stay on.
Mistress stuff - Stockings, heels and lingerie
I though after shocking confessions of my Clarksies sandals and slobby mooching around in my sensible nightie I should let the world (?!) know I do remember how to do the mistress stuff as well. When I have a date with my lover I adore dressing up for the ocassion and stockings, suspenders, nice knickers and high heels just make me feel incredibly sexy and cheer him up enormously as well!
I recently tried lacetop holdup stockings for first time in years and they were amazingly comfortable. I am far more well-built that Dylan Thomas's Polly Garter so was a little uncertain as to efficacy and effect of hold-ups. The pair I wore were from Evans's and were fab!
I can't remember if I blogged about my lovely new boots - I bought four pairs in one go for a bargain £120! Boots are difficult if you're not skinny but I got lucky in an Evans's sale. They are all leather. One pair are fabulously soft grey cowboy boots with cuban heel. I have long pale grey knee-high leather high-heeled lace-up boots and a pair of soft leather black wedges that are knee high. The fourth pair are Victorian looking mid-calf bronze coloured leather high-heeled lace-ups.
I alsohave a collection of rather sexy high-heeled shoes that I love for our dates. I recently wore a pair to a friend's house for a Murder Mystery party. I saw an ex-colleague I'd not seen for years and joked about wearing makeup for first time in ages. She looked at my sexy heels and said that I'd probably not worn them for a some time either. My host nearly fell out of his chair when I said it was first time I'd worn them outside the bedroom in a while!
My underwear for dates, whenI'm not doing 'demure and simple' tends to be lacy, feminine, tasteful and very much 'lingerie'. I have bought some quite pretty stuff from Peacock's but thought I'd get some sleazy stuff for a change and a laugh. Interestingly my lover was quite taken with see-through net as well as my more tasteful stuff!
Wheelie Bins and the Mad Woman of Fairwater (2)
Well, after all that I got my bins wrong!![]()
The collection of green recycling bags and green wheelie bins for garden waste alternate. I checked at least three times that it was green bins, but all my neighbours had green bags out. Of course they were right and I was wrong. I read wrong side of leaflet and was reading other districts of Cardiff. Still, my bin's nice and full for next week...
Wheelie Bins and the Mad Woman of Fairwater....
Today has been a glorious day and I've been cooped up indoors working and pottering. You don't need to be dressed to write, send emails and phone people so as usual I've wafted around in my nightie all day. It's plain knitted cotton and I like to think more 'loungewear' than sleepwear, but I have to admit it is my nightie, even if I don't wear it to bed.
Well, due to bankholiday the bins are being collected a day later, and my neighbours have been trundling out the wheelie bins, so I thought I ought to do the same. This week is the garden waste green bin collection, so I thought I'd better put the buddlia cuttings in bin. I'd left them out the back to dry out to make them easier to break up. So I put on my very tasteful Clarke's sandals and leather jacket over my nightie and dragged the buddlia remains through side passage to green wheelie bin.
It's been a glorious day as said and this was my first and only 'outing' of the day. The evening air was lovely and I had a perfectly delightful time breaking up twigs and dry branches and stuffing the wheelie bin.
So there I was in nightie, sandals and leather jacket enjoying the evening air and feeding my beloved wheelie and realising I'd probably turned into the local eccentric...
Distractions...Wikipedia
I was having a little browse and someone (Sorry for lack of citing, but I got distracted!
)mentioned googling one's hometown. I discovered thousands of entries for my little village but only population for my village and distance from nearest town on Wikipedia. How could I resist? I didn't! There is now a somewhat egocentric view of my old village.
I've never posted there before. I can't see my old village receiving that many hits but will be fun to see if and how it gets edited. I shall reserve my judgement and keep watching...
Small disappointments...
I've just had some time with my lover. Mainly doing stuff, with just a little time for privacy. As we like being together, whether private or not, it was lovely. And then he said he'd see me Thursday and I was expecting to see him tomorrow!![]()
On the plus side, I'll probably get more work done, and we'll have two days together of seeing each other (Friday is a 'date' day!
) but I still feel disappointed. I'd sort of planned around it, so now have to rethink stuff.
As I've said before, I get more 'quality time' with him than some legit couples get, but hard not to feel disappointed...
